I Love Creating Websites!
I've been fascinated with the internet ever since I was introduced to it at a workshop
at Florida State University over 19 years ago.
I thoroughly enjoy surfing the internet, and I enjoy designing websites even more; so I
consider being able to do this for a living a great blessing.
I began my IT career in 1992 as a computer instructor; I spent 4 years teaching all levels of
classes in Windows, WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Access),
and much more. During my brief time doing Tier II technical support, I taught myself HTML and
began to build websites. From there, I landed my first programmer job where I learn how to
create dynamic websites using classic ASP and SQL Server. In 2003, I began using ASP.NET to
build object-oriented web applications, and continue to do so now.
During my programming career, I've had the privilege of working for a wide range of companies
& clients, in which I have gained exposure to consulting in several industries (including
healthcare, utilities, and T.V.) Though I've mostly developed web applications using ASP.NET,
I also have experience using other Microsoft technologies - including VB6 apps, WinForms, CSLA,
WPF, WCF, Silverlight, and SharePoint.
I currently work for TeleMed, Inc. as their Lead Web Developer; where I create, redesign and
maintain the web applications that their customers use to access data regarding their medical
messages (i.e. MyTeleMed and
GetTheDoctor.) I also teach classes for
Learning Tree International,
helping other learn ASP.NET, and get started with Linq, WPF, WCF, WF, Silverlight and AJAX.
When I'm not creating websites, I love spending time with my beautiful wife, Tracey of
20
years and my 4 wonderful children -
Leighton (19),
Coleman (17),
Greyson (14), and
Micaela (11).
I'm also a basketball enthusiast (Go Lakers & Tarheels!); I also used to officiate high school varsity basketball, and
continue to do so for my church league. Speaking of church, my family and I spend a lot of time there, too!
